    The Ultimate Old Fashioned Box was designed from the ground up to be perfect for Old Fashioned aficionados and first timers looking to explore delicious new variations of this classic. Each box includes eight unique craft spirits hand selected by our team of mixologists, as well as eight servings of demerara syrup, bitters, organic orange slices and maraschino cherries. Check out the Top Shelf Box for spirits you likely won't come across at your local liquor store.

    Shipping Information

    State and Federal laws require a person of at least 21 years of age to be present to sign for all alcohol shipments. For your convenience, our shipper will make three (3) attempts to deliver your shipment before returning your package to us. If you are not home on a regular basis, please use your work or office as the shipping address.

    Received the shipment today and it was perfect timing! We took a half day off and hubby was trying to relax. Mixology to the rescue. He decided on Larceny today. You see, he is an Old Fashioned snob. It gets quite uncomfortable when we are out and he tells the mixologist how to make. The options were as expected. Everything you need to make an evening / end of day cocktail. Can't wait for him to try them all. The packaging was elegant and something I would definitely gift during the holidays. Can't wait to level up the next order.

    I paid extra for the premium kit, but the bourbon included was not premium and didn’t match what was advertised. If premium bourbon wasn’t available, that should have been disclosed before purchase. I would not have paid the upcharge had that been made clear.

    Overall, these are a nice gift box for someone getting into Old Fashioned’s. I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband in place of a whiskey advent we wanted from another company, but was going to take forever to ship. Shipping from The Mixologer was very speedy - points for that. All of the bottles were samples of $50+ whiskeys from distilleries I either hadn’t heard of or hadn’t sampled yet - the main deciding factor in getting the Top Shelf box. I assumed that the whiskeys listed would be the ones received, and I was really looking forward to trying the Abasalo Mexican Whiskey. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and only 5 of the 8 bottles listed were what came in our box. Also, I wanted to get more info on these, but there isn’t a full bottle available for a lot of these on the site. And as with other reviewers, my jar of cherries leaked all over the foam and bottles. If there was an option to curate my own box of samples minus the toppings, I would have gone that route, because honestly we already have really good cherries, bitters and syrups on hand for our drinks, and I don’t know how I feel about the dehydrated oranges - I haven’t tried them this way yet. We really just want to expand our range of whiskeys. But as a fun gift, I think this fits the bill.
